Friday I sat fishless on a rock in a rainstorm trying to understand exactly what I did wrong. Then I saw my sweater was on backwards. That explained it. Saturday I hooked 7, and caught 5 wild steelhead, which were released keeping them in the water without touching them, as you can see. Needle nose pliers are great for that. The sweater incident reminds me of how I was unable to catch fish off a new rod until I removed the barcode, and another time I was skunked all day in Eastern Oregon, probably due to unmatched socks.
